This Is Why I Write
I write not because I like to write
I write because I love to write
I write because I can express myself
I write to find more of myself
I write for those that are blind
For those without arms
For those who have never felt the joy of love
I write straight from my heart for you
I write for those that are much like me
Living a life off of pills due to depression
Wondering what tomorrow brings
While hoping for light at the end of the tunnel
I write for those that took their lives
You may be gone, but you will not be forgotten
I write in remembrance of you all
And write for you so you’ll be a part of my journey
I write because I want to change the world
To bring forth a positive message that there is still hope
Hope that we can be somebody no matter what
Hope that there is somebody other there that loves us
We were all born for a reason
And I write to make sure we're all here doing this together.
