Why I write..

(poems go here) Poetry is my war The words are my swords My heart is the enemy I never beat And still I do not know the taste of defeat I write to try and resolve my fear But all it does is make life more clear Existential thoughts hit me with a blind side It hurts so much makes me want to cry My friends call me a mysterious man Who has a diabolical plan To give all he can Girls love me and yet I fade away My heart is unyielding when they ask me to stay I saw my mom leave and break my dads heart and that is one of my many reasons I do this art The other is the death that took them both away Which explains why I leave the girls that love me when they ask me to stay My humanity explains the rest Because my pride and indigence is displayed on my chest When I hear about homies dying from back home In short I'm just another guy trying to make it on his own And poetry is the only thing that gives me peace
