Why I Write
I write because it frees me I can be who ever and whatever Maritza choses to be I can freely say what's needed and sign anonymously, so no one will ever know when they read it That it was me and only me Standing up for what I believe and saying the truth behind everything To confidently be able to say that they hurt me, lied on me or stand my view politically in a creative way I write because it's dead No one truly knows the power and those that do slowly begin to feel like it doesn't even matter Everyone deserve to love, so i figured why not pick up a pen and paper to show writing that maybe I could be the one The one who cherishes you and understand the power you hold and doesn't take you for granted Or use you for gold I want to be the one The one who isn't afraid to step out to say what needs to be said The one who lets thoughts of what to write next flow in her head while in bed I write because I love to love Writing was a stragetic gift from above and I'll cater to it and only it.
