Why I Write
As a freedom of expression
a headcase kind of lesson
taking back my identity
from every opposing entity
to rise above and go beyond
to push boundaries on and on
not to impress all the rest
but to press passed the stress
to liberate myself
and take others off the shelf
to give life to fantasy
and put a hardlight on reality
it's not for boasting, bragging, or glory
not just to entertain in a story
but to alleviate sorrow, suffering, and pain
to reach out and touch the insane
to breathe deep the universe
line on line, verse after verse
until I feel and you feel
and we both know it's real
and transcend the anonymity
and each reader is apart of me
a unity unbroken
continuity unspoken
til I bleed you and breathe you
and with my love imbrue you
until no one is singular
but all is one together
