Why I Write

I write because I like,
I write because I like to look upon my writing with a sense of accomplishment.
Woah, what an astonishment.

I write because it keeps me sane.
It keeps me right in the membrane.

Writing is a way for me to express myself.
It shows my true emotions, even when I cannot,
It is always worth a shot.

I write because of Mark Twain.
His inspiration got it on my brain.

I write because it keeps me whole.
Even when my world is down,
I still have a sense of self-control.

I write because it keeps me true.
Not only to myself, but to everyone else.

All in all, writing does too much to name.
Not only does it do all the things I believe,
It keeps me, being me.
