Why I Write

I write to live.

I give my  heart

My all

My everything to the paper.

I had nowhere else to turn

I was lost and alone

Six whole months of my life was nothing but a blur

She who gave me life was gone.

I looked here

I went there

All I wanted was someone to tell me “Its gonna be okay”

There was no one. There was nothing.

My life had become a shell

A memory of what it once was

Reminders of how it was once lively and full

Before everything I knew and loved came crashing down.

Then, a glimmer of hope

New life

A fresh start

Something I had created.

I never thought I could love someone so much

The size of a lima bean, but had my heart completely

My entire world was to be given

I was full of so much love.

Then the hope was gone

Life, again had ended

This time before it even began

I was empty once more.

All that was left was the paper.

Life and death was so unpredictable

But my ability to write stayed constant

It was the only thing I could control

When I was so empty

Grief-stricken

Desperately searching for a way out

Needing relief

So I write.

I write to live.

I give my  heart

My all

My everything  to the paper
