Why I Write

Overwhelming stress showing on my skin.  I need a better skill and that's where writing comes in. They started as short stories and slowly progressed. Some of tthem having me sent away, having me assessed. I'm not insane, I just need to write. It helps keep my arms clean, helps me see the light. Where did I learn? I'm not sure. I loved making up stories, but I needed something more. I was self-harming and everyone was scared.  I didn't know why i did it. I felt like no one cared. I had been to facility after facility just getting shipped around, family member to family member where i just kept getting denied. Finally I ended up with the state really needing a skill to cope with my feeling. I even tried overdosing on some pills. When that didnt work, I picked up a pen and started writing and that is how it happened.
