Why I Write

Some dreams need to stay

in fairy tale books.

Some dreams need to be placed

aside.

To jump too high

causes bruises.

To reach too far

causes scars.

With will and pen,

dreams need not stay still.

For then,

jumping too high causes memories.

Reaching too far

causes tales.

Writing becomes one's

fairy godmother.

Writing becomes one's

wish upon a star.
