Why I Write?
Why do I write?
The better question is
Why do I not write?
In this city so big, my voice is never heard.
I'm just a fish in a mist of sharks.
Always, Afraid to speak out loud,
Afraid my voice won’t be heard, so I write.
I write to set my ideas free.
I write to tell Their stories.
For the stories of those who don’t have a voice.
I write for myself.
I write to feel because it’s the only way for me to vent.
I write to my PAST.
To never let me forget how STRONG I truly am.
I write for the PRESENT.
For it’s truly the only way I could deal with this stage of my life.
I write for the FUTURE.
Because I know the day will come that I’ll read these letters to myself
And Wonder if what I wrote became true.
I write to write.
I write because I AM the STORYTELLER of my story.
And no one else but me.
