Why I Write

I write to escape into my own little world

A world that is filled with romance and adventure

I write the words that have not yet been written

Because I want so badly to read for myself

Those words that have yet to be inscribed

I write to breathe life into places and characters

My pen scratching across paper

As the things I create leap off the page

And into the heart, soul, and mind

Of the many who will read

The words that I write
