Why I Write
I write because I bleed into words
These pages are dripping with red
They’re a bloody mess
When I can’t take the pain
I close my eyes and become my own doctor
Writing words down
Bleeding my pain out
These pages hold the weight that I can’t
Because writing is my only escape
From everything I don’t have the strength to speak
Every stanza brings me closer to relief
From this beauty that tears me apart
That’s the reason why I write
