Why I Write

The reason why I write is simple and true I write for myself, I never write for you My words are my personality smeared across the page You'll be dumbfounded in awe despite my young age For when I write, I create new worlds Candy cane forests, fit for little girls Islands of solitude made for the lonely A romantic limbo for lovers only I dare you to try and copy true genius Then paste it on a page as if your soul has no cleanness The pencil is my gun, and with bullets of lead I shoot through dullness, killing it dead In the name of creativity, I resurrect it completely Then color it with imagination ever so neatly I write wantonly for one simple reason To write otherwise would be poetic treason
