Why I Write
Why I Write
I never knew poetry would help me so much
It was in high school I discovered poetry
My teacher helped me so
I never knew why I wrote
But I soon found out that,
I write to free my mind
To put myself at ease
I write to set my soul free
I write to keep calm
Writing helps me keep sane
In writing a discovered a new me
I discovered a new talent about myself
I write for it betters me
When I write I see everything about me
I see my struggles and my success
I write because I feel invigorated
I feel proud, and I feel important
And that’s why I write
