Why I Write
I write to channel emotion,
to praise everything good,
to mourn the sorrowful,
to look into the heart and see what we all desire.
I write to find meaning in my words,
to find a moral,
a theme,
a story to tell.
I write to share my vision,
to show the marvels of the creative mind,
to demonstrate the understanding
of the natural world.
I write to share myself with the reader,
to share my strengths and flaws,
to show my innermost feelings,
to tell my story, and what I can do to make an impact.
When I write I show my colors,
to stand up for everything and anything
to end what is wrong,
and to show what is right.
I write because there is power in words,
because words have meanings,
because without meanings, the word is useless,
because anything can start with just one word.
