Why I Write, Despite my Height

I write to Keep up. I write to calm down. I write to fill my cup, and I write to wear the crown. I stop and stare, but I don't hear a sound. I run here and there, and my heart forever pounds. I'm grasping at that education. Trying to gain that knowledge. I need an occupation, I need to take the pledge. I'm searching and racing, but the world is like lacing. My feet get caught in the spacing, And the strands of the fabric won't stop breaking. Help me find the light, Help me find the Lord. Be my will to fight, Be my shield and my sword. They try to pull at me, they almost have a grasp. I stay invisible so we won't meet, I stay hidden underneath my mask. They tell me yes, I tell them no. They tell me stop, I tell them go. I won't back down from my rights, the demons can't take my life. They whisper to me in the night, They come at me with a knife. They are the nonbelievers. They tell me I don't have a chance. They are the nonbelievers, They won't give me a second glance. I will show them who I am. I am the wind and the rain. They won't believe who I am. I can fight through the pain. The signs are all around me, to stop and give up. But I can't let them bind me, Before too long, I will rise up. I'm the heart for the heartless, that beats for the beatless I am the warrior for the weak, I am the savior of the meek. With your help, I can break the chains. Only strength will remain. Strength to learn and strength to live. Strength to earn, and strength to give. My world isn't so crumpled anymore. The skies stay blue forevermore. My world isn't small anymore. My heart will pound forevermore. I write to save myself and my brethren. I write to repent and forget my sins. I write to stand out, not to blend. I write heal and to mend. Give me help to go farther. Give me help to stand firm. Give me help to see Thy Father. Give me help to work steady and stern.
