Why I Write - KaDream
I write when I have no one to go to,
when there is no way to explain what is going through my mind.
Rather than bottling up unspoken words,
or letting them fall on deaf ears,
I console my pen and paper, the best listeners around.
I write when my mind is clouded,
when my thoughts have filled my cranium to maximum capacity.
When I can no longer hold my tongue,
and my back can no longer support the weight of my trials and tribulations.
I write to see who is truly listening,
to see who will go out of their way to decode my thoughts,
rather than wasting my breath, failing to explain the pain
to those without a care in the world.
I write for my safety,
because poetry is my means of ventilation.
It pulls me back when I am on the verge of insanity.
I write when I dont know what else to do, when I have no where else to go
When money is tight, and there is no hope in sight
Poetry always seems to bring me to the light
so that is why I write.
