Why I Write: My Weapon

A whirlwind of thoughts ceaselessly clutter

my mind, building with each emotion, and

destroy confidence with each careless blow.

Overwhelmed by confusion, I wield my

only weapon. I open the flood gates,

allowing all the emotions to drift

downstream and clear the path for the greater

battle. I calm the whirlwind as the lines

gain numbers. The thoughts grow clearer and more

defined. Under the glow of my weapon,

I can now see them for what they truly

are. I can see what they were meant to be.
