Why I Write Poetry

Life isn't easy Can be very frustrating To escape the world I write my thoughts Others don't want to hear me rant About silly unimportant things; Yet, they're not unimportant to me. I may seem like I'm sane But, let me tell you, Before I discovered poetry I was a MONSTER! Before poetry, I had anger problems I had a short fuse But now I know how to contain myself And write my thoughts: turning my rage to beauty
