Why is it fair?
(poems go here) Not sure what to think
In a time such as this
When I can’t seem to digest
The tuition cost on this list
I’m not fully understanding
How a country so rich
Pimps the poor and still manages
To shout that “You should go to school” pitch
Why is it fair to pad the pockets of legislators?
But steal the very dreams
Of the less fortunate
What makes it right
In the eyes of the law
Good ole moral concept
You say it’s fair? But here’s the flaw
While you rip the dreams away
Another country educates their young
They prepare for the future
While less of their people get hung
So tell me,
Why is it fair?
