Why Is it so Hard?

The waters cry out His name

Lord they are not ashamed

Why is it so hard for us

To sing out your praise?

Why is it so hard to give you grace?

Your pain touches our hearts

And yet it is not enough

For us to drop everything and give it all to you

Is it because we would not know

What we would do in your presence?

Why, God, is it so hard to accept your name?

It's so hard to understand your commands

And yet the ox and ass bow at the mention of your love

While we are no longer bold

Why can't we do what you want?

We know who you are

And yet we cannot worship the King

And we don't know why.
