Why the Kraken Was Cranky

Mon, 08/19/2019 - 13:54 -- Kordi

Somewhere very far away,

there's a strange sight to behold.

A monster, terribe and huge,

covered in moss and mold.

Many a ship has it sunk,

and sailors feared it's name -

But now the Kraken is quite nice,

you could almost say it's tame.

For when it used to feed on men

now it's quite content

to feed on fish and lobster

and sun itself on warm cement.

Like a giant island,

it moves across the sea.

The fishing men upon it's back

in paradise, living free.

It uses it's claws and tentacles

to serve drinks and food,

and even some slimy seaweed

if you're in the mood.

But why would such a creature,

bow down to tiny men?

Well let me tell you why -

you'll never ask again.

For even in it's glory,

it still had one great pain,

that itch it couldn't reach

no matter how it strained.

But now whenever it needs,

the men have quite the fix,

a giant back scratcher,

in exchange for the kraken's new tricks.
