Why lie?

You lie to get by you lie to get through

All I ask is that you tell the truth

You lie so much you don't even know what's true

Can't you feel the spirit of God leaving you?

You lie to your mothers face

When she's only filled with love and grace

You lie to your boss' very own face

And yet you wonder why don't get a raise

You think you must lie inorder to survive

When all you should do is simply speak the truth

And set a great example for the youth

So next time you lie look them in the eye

And know that nothing can be hidden from here to the sky
