Why Is Life This Way

Why Is Life This Way

In thia world

Why is it so often

Love is about pain

Life about regrets

Family about hurt

Relationships about baggage

And sometimes

Strangers about kindness

And loneliness in this world

All alone in this world

Trying to make life meaningful

Once again thinking to myself

Why is that

Things I had always held sacred

Turned out to be

My life’s ugliest truth

People that were supposed to

Stand by you

Turned out to be my biggest lie

This empty feeling you have

Trying to make sense

Why things happen

When you least  expect

Desperately trying to make life work

Why is it that

Life has a mind of it’s own

No matter how much you plan

It still get’s you

As life’s unthinkable lows

As you try to walk away

You realize how bankrupted

Some people are in this world

Where your blood ties

Remind you it takes all kind

And strangers remind you

Kindness you sometimes find

In strange places

As you try to move on

People you try to leave behind

As bankrupties of your life

That life sent your way

Baggage you try to lose

So that you no longer cry

Then you realize

This world is sometimes

Just about people

And their expectations

And beautiful things

They have to say and do

As who they know

They are in this world

In thia world

Why is it so often

Love is about pain

Life about regrets

Family about hurt

Relationships about baggage

And sometimes

Strangers about kindness

And loneliness in this world
