In this world
Why is it sometimes
Love is about pain
Life about regrets
Family about hurt
Relationships about baggage
Strangers about kindness
And loneliness in this world
All alone in this world
Trying to make life meaningful
Once again thinking to myself
Why is it that
Things I had always held sacred
Turned out to be
My life’s ugliest truth
People that were supposed to
Stand by you
Turned out to be my biggest lie
This empty feeling you feel inside
Trying to make sense
Why things happen this way
Desperately trying to
Leave the hurt behind
To make life work in a world
Where life has a mind of it’s own
No matter how much you try
Why is it that it still get’s you
As life’s unthinkable hurt
In this world
