Why Love Him

Why care so much when all he did was hurt you?

Why do you cry when you think about him being gone?

He hurt you to no extent,

severely broken and unable to be fixed.

My love,

tell me...

I don't quite understand.

You have his initials under your skin.

In dark black ink you paid for a sin.

This sin is not religious,

however it's a sin towards your history.

You claim to have calmed down...

You claim to be better.

I know you're lying,

I won't dig much deeper.

He abused you,

burnt you,

broke you in two...

possibly more pieces.

My dear boy, hiding under your hat...

Why love him?

"Because he's my dad."
