Why? for me
I could float on a river.
Made from tears I've cried.
Brought on over the years.
Filled with help from the people who've lied.
I feel completely lost.
How can I piece (peace) together this heart that's been broken?
I feel like this is all one big arcade game.
... and guess who just ran out of tokens?
Explain to me a friend.
Better yet, an enemy.
I've lost so many friends.
So-called people who've befriended me.
I've lost my guidance, my faith, drenched in saddness.
Please pray for me, don't cry for me.
One last request...
When you pray to God, please just ask him "why?" for me.
This poem is written both for and to my grandfather Charles Jenkins. I lost you March 17. 2010.
I miss you dearly & I just want you to know that your Sweet Pea loves her Paw Paw.
