Why Me

With the verdict still out, I have a question?
Is it my eyes brown with a story of hurt, causing them to shimmer?
Is it my pecan skin that glows in the night's refection of stars?
Is it because you know exactly how I feel using it to your advantage?
What is it that keeps you interested in me?
Do you support my passions and goals?
Are you understanding of my worth?
Are you willing to get to know me?
Do you know what I like?
Are you aware of my fears?
Do you hear my tears as I lay beside you?
Do you know how to touch me or even what makes me tick?
Why open like a book but never read my pages?
I ask for pure clarity, the question of why me?
