When I was sad and alone you came up to me

When I was afraid, you comforted me

I can’t believe that you love me

Why do you love me?

Is it because you think I’m easy-going

Sweet, thoughtful and caring?

Do you only love me for my looks?

No of course not. I am not beautiful like them.

Why do you even care?

Am I some toy to you?

Or is it just because you know I need you

Why would someone like you ever care about someone like me?

There’s someone better than me out there

Yet you still choose me every time

And my question to you is why?

Why me?

Out of everyone else in the world, why did you choose me?
