Why My God?

I know it’s all for the good

Because I love you.

You have called me to this,

And You can get me through this.

I know if You told this trial stop it would,

And I know if You wanted You could.

So why don’t You?

I know You hear my call for peace,

But You never give me any.

I know You could say peace be still,

But only if it’s a part of Your will.

So why don’t You?

Why do You put us through this?

Why don’t You get me through it?

I know You know how I feel

And what I need.

I know You are real.

But why, my God, won’t You stop this chaos?
