Why No Answer

Why no answer? The horns are blasting through the vulgar air poisoned with filthy grime, Hawks and rattlers in shadowed ends. Staring in anticipation at standing forces, Unable to speak, Unable to fathom The sequel of this beastly novel. Waiting , waiting… Why no answer? Pressed against the once sweet smelling garments, No more pleasant, no more fragrant. No escape, can’t seem to free. Struggling, struggling… Why no answer? Agony, Pain, Anger Give leave, I beg. Shed that hostile grip of thy callous hands: Pleading, Pleading… Why no answer? Where stays that dazzling, glittering blaze, Lights up the sky, consoling, securing? Feathers are ripped, scales are frayed, Death, GO! Bolt, flee! End acts of martyrdom, Dying, dying… Why no answer? Trampled, Innocence in the streets In buckled scarlet. Hunted, battered… Why no answer? Gloomy flecks of happy sorrow, Growing, wilting, Parched in pungent fumes, Reeks! Divert those acquitted faces of pure spirit, Turn away, turn away! Why no answer? Cast thy arms onto the thick soiled earth. Shades of red-black-gray Hugging the icy stone plains, Biting flesh, slaying existence: Why, why… WHY no answer?

There is a certain feat that can only be accomplished and revealed through poetic expression. For me, writing poetry is the best (and, perhaps, only) way for effectively sharing my experiences and insights with the others. More importantly, poetry has become a form of solace for me, a place where I can turn and relate my feelings. There are various themes, metaphors, and symbols I include that are obscured from an audience, but are there, nevertheless, for a purpose. Every topic I choose to write about is indeed a topic on which I feel strongly and can assuredly advocate.
