Why Poetry?

Why poetry? That's an unconscious question if you ask me. The outlet to everything if you know what I mean. You can be all alone in the world. But ... But with the grip of a pen and a piece of paper you can go. Your emotions will flow. There's no limitations as you exceed 140 characters. It's more than just a cheap tweet, or status update. It's YOUR voice! Why poetry? Well, because I always felt alone. My thoughts drowning me in depression. Why poetry? That's an unconscious question if you ask me. As I write, I'm painting. It's art in a way. When I was sad about the day, it was there for me. I was alone in the world Facing bullies But... But with the grip of my pen and a piece of paper I was off, like a rocket ship. So why poetry? Well honestly because without poetry... Without the articulate way to write each feeling out. I wouldn't have found MYSELF.
