Why Poetry?

I try to run from my problems

Instead, they're running with me

I'm not like other urban kids

Even though I'm living in the city

Spent some days alone

"Man what a bummer"

Some friends called my phone 

"Hey, what you doing for the summer?"

"Im trying to express myself artistically. hopefully, your listening"

"i just had an epiphany...."

"You want to be a rapper!? Are you kidding me."

"I'm a poet, not a rapper"

"Im a writer, not an actor"

"why do poetry?"

"Because poetry can bring laughter."
