Why Poetry

Why Poetry?

I have always enjoyed the sounds

The different flows of them all

Why not try it on my own aloud

To be able to share, my feelings

My feelings about my faith in Christ

I can see my heart pouring out on white

People can understand what I feel

I am so glad that I can see this in my sight

To my faith and true spiritual side

The feelings that are so hard to sight

But poetry can show my inner light

As I write for the person that I am

In the most uplifting sight

Where I can feed the lamb

And bring others unto Christ
