This Is Why She Sits

Her touch saves

And her heart cries

Though she'll silence it

For their sake

She doesn't chase the wake

Emotions fragile like a kid

Squinting for the trip wire

Closes her eyes till it goes away

But she needs

A hand to hold

And someone to see

When her glance shifts

And speak a million words

By simply brushing away

Her hair and pain
