Why she writes

This is a story about girl who's smile reached the sky

Until she felt the world’s deny as it  fell to pieces before her eye

A masquerade upon her face

To hide the features that were seen as a disgrace

Silent words scarred her skin

In a world where emotions were a sin

Like a doll upon a shelf

She forgot herself

And she tried to be like everyone else

But in the end she destroyed herself

In the darkness she was alone

She could not be saved for her hatred had grown

Screaming at ever error in the mirror

For her flaws could not be any clearer

Her will to live was shaking

Her mask was breaking

Silent pleas upon her lips

But no one listened bcause her words were like a rehearsed script.

A pen and paper was her last solution

Because death was her only conclusion

But as the words flowed

Her soul began to unload

The words lighted guide

Through a darkened lullaby of a girl who never cried.

If hatred was her reality

Then she would rather drown in a written fantasy

Her words create a world in which she take flight

And this is why she writes.
