Why Should I?

Because you love me Is what you always say Because I need you Is the excuse you used to use Because my needs are more important Because my life is more tragic Because I've hurt more. No. Not anymore. Your life is not an excuse Your mind, twisted as it might be Is not darker than mine Is not filled with more demons Is not screaming louder, Demanding more attention. I have grown in my love I have learned to accept myself You are no longer my life My love or my soul I am more important to myself I am worthy of more than you I am deserving of the love you could never give me I deserve the sun the moon and all the stars Someone who will love me for all my demons Someone that will accept my love Not abuse it Because I love you is no longer a reason to stay Because I love you is not important anymore Because I love myself the way I need to is what matters most And you are not taking that from me again.
