Why Smile

What makes a smile worth it?

Is it the look on their face that makes it perfect?

Does it take a genius to unearth it?

Even when life is horrible and bad

People take the time out of their day to smile even when their sad

Even when they're dying

When they feel like crying

When the only thing that they can do is keep lying

They smile

From ear to ear, wider than a mile

Even when they're lives are ever changing like a turnstile

The world is cruel and beats us down

and in the face of this cruelty they refuse to frown

Why do you smile when the world causes you pain?

What makes you keep your face unchanged?

Why does your face remain the same?

Why smile?
