Why Speak or Serenade or Breathe?
Shall I compare these tears to a wet day
Or use my quiet words, and loud thoughts, to speak
In tongues and rot
Ambiguity and Entertainment
Living in the Moment
Send a message to the public
And spin out a car of poetry
Crazy and Descriptive
Colors drip from my keys
And I share a memory
Of sunburn fingers
On sensitive scars
Song and Emotion
My voice lost to the tune
But my words hold on tight
to the anger
to the steam
to the manic
to the scream
I write to slam
Because slam
Is who I am
