Why, when I look for

Why, when I look for you

I can't find you.

You come as a theif,

late night.

Invaded mind, quick stabs,

jabs at mine.

Each strike has me reaching for a pen to make a mark.

Paper, cloth, books.

Why, when I look for you

I can't find you.

Even when I feel you, mind you.
