Why won't you help us

Why won't you fix it?

Why are you so hopeless?

Why are you ok with saying that's that and letting it stay broken?

Why are you content with letting the world burn and doing nothing?

Why won't you help?

You say there's nothing to be done

Then we try to stand up and help and you tell us to stop helping

But then you say we're lazy and we care about nothing

Why do you just sit there?

You're so quick to give up 

You admit there's a problem but you didn't even try to fix it

Now here we are trying and you say kids should'nt be in politics

You're right we shouldn't 

We shouldn't be here

We should be sitting at home instead of you

Looking up inspired by how you fix things and what you do

But you're not doing that so we will

We'll inspire each other instead

Since you won't be the one to say what's happening is wrong

We'll lobby and we'll march and we'll sing the songs you used to sing to help each other go on

We'll fix the schools and xenophobia

We'll fix mental health and bullying

We'll fix the gun violence the abuse the drug addiction and all forms of racism

We'll fix the homelessness the mass starvation LGPTQ+ rights and sexism

Because you won't fix it

We will instead

And I don't want to hear any cries and boohoos

Just because we did it better than you
