Why World?
Why? That one simple word one simple question. One of the few words with so little meaning to us but a word which can cause infinite amount of answers. A simple word that could tell its own story. Sometimes it is the word we least look for but most need. All the decisions we make in life not for the things we want nor that we need. Why would we need this word think back to the time you've made a decision without asking why. Im sure as you're reading this you will say well this isn't much of a poem more like a essay. Well think about it, why must a poem rhyme? why must a poem have to follow a certain pattern? So you can seem artistic or creative you would say, but have you ever asked why? I say some may have but not all. It's a simple question with complex and simple answers. Every question ever asked or to be asked will have simple and complex answers the truth is though just because you can use the complex answer doesn't mean you are the complex person you are simply he who digs farther than he needs, and in life were told keep digging and driving until you reach your goal. The point i've been trying to explain was simply that we can ask how where when and why but the problem with our world is some people need to stop questioning the things around them but question themselves. We all can say we dislike the new world we can blame it on the government but the truth is we are the reason for this new world. We voted for these presidents, we started becoming too attached to the internet, and we are the ones who go out hoping to impress others by buying name brand clothes or new cars. The question again though is why, why can't we just all be ourselves not try to make others feel bad because we feel we are better. Why can't we just live without a leader? Why can't we all be peaceful not need a babysitter aka the government to watch over. I won't lie ive fallen victim to the new world but i'm trying to get back. The thing is though until we stop acting like animals captive with the government being the keeper we will never escape. I have learned just recently i'm not really trying to escape for myself i'm escaping for those who can't so i'm not just doing this for me I will also do this for Ota Benga. Telling his story along with others while I try to create my own.
