Why is the world the way it is
Why is the world the way it is? When children are left alone
And the daddies won’t come home.
When the mama is on drugs,
And her little girl can’t even get a hug.
Because the mother is so high
That even though the daughter tries to hide the pain she feels inside
She can’t
Because she is hurt so bad.
Even the man her mom claims is her dad hurts her
Instead of helping her.
But only when he gets mad
Because his wife is too busy passing out
Instead of putting it out there for him to take.
But I guess that's okay.
Why is the world the way it is?
When every time I close my eyes
This pain has hit me inside
That someone has died
Or someone cried over the death of a loved one
Because he was shot over something stupid
Like a simple misunderstanding
But instead of settling thing with words
The boy, because he is just a boy, takes out a gun and shots that pierces a love ones heart
Go straight threw but never drops
The okays have to stop.
Why is the world the way it is?
When a 13 year old girl sells her body
For materialistic things
But never notices the realistic things in life
Instead she lays there
Legs open
While the pervert climbs on top of her
But instead of using protection he just does his business
After he’s done
She thought he would love her
But instead he leaves her
While she lays there hurt inside
She repeats this action, but 9 months later
A baby is born
But the mother has no clue of a father
Because she slept with so many boys
No more okays. Stop the noise.
So as I sit here
Wondering
Thinking of what to say
In the future my lilttle girl will look up to me
and ask me,"Mommy why is the world the way it is?"
What exactly am I supposed to say?
