Wild Animals & How They Relate to Me

If you put yourself

In the perspective of an animal,

Which one would you be?

I see reflections of my character

In many different creatures.

I am powerful.

Often, I like to consider myself a lion

With determined, fierce eyes

And an unruly mane of hair on my head.

A gracious lioness with a soft side,

The dominant lion who knows what it wants- and fights for it.

I am independent.

Other times, I see myself as a bird

Soaring through the world

With no particular destination.

Inside I am a dreamer, a traveler,

a bird flying between people, nature, and cities alike.

I am determined.

Sometimes, I am a fish

Swimming against the current

Trying to get itself to where it wants to be.

I have goals, desires, ambitions,

and I will do whatever it takes to get there- even if it means swimming against the current.
