Wild Flower
I am a wild flower that bloomed with many like me. I bloomed a free spirit among many free spirits. I am a wild flower that refuses to be anything but. I am a wild flower in a field that was once full but is now empty. The other flowers longed to belong somewhere, to be part of society. I am a wild flower that refuses to be picked, to go out and become and become a part of society where you are chained down. I am a wild flower that dreams of touching the clouds above me. I am a wild flower that knows where my roots are but grows and dreams. My spirit soaring like he eagles above my empty field. I am a wild flower that met a boy. He is a boy who wanted a flower. He asked if he could take me to his home, to make me part of his bouquet. I refused. He asked me why I wanted to stay out here on my own. I told him that it’s because I am wild flower with a free spirit that I refuse to go and be captured, to no longer be free. He told me that I could be loved, that I would be looked upon and thought of as beautiful, that flowers we loved where he is from. I him that I am loved, my creator loves me, He created me to be free. The boy told me that I would affect lives if I went with him. I told him that I affect lives here. For now his spirit yearned to be free, he would go back and speak of the flower with a free spirit. Others would then year for freedom. He was a boy that learned that having a free spirit is uplifting. He was a boy who left with no flower but with a dream, a dream to be free, as I am free. I am a wild flower with a free spirit that shall never be part of everything else. I am a wild flower now and forever. I am free.
