The Wild Flower that Stood Lone
Wild flower,
Dear Wild Flower,
Why you stand lone.
You could be out there,
By the great limestone.
Sun Flower,
Dear Sun Flower,
Don't you see.
Over there, with them,
Is not where I should be,
I over grow,
I do not stop,
I have to many colors,
Up on my petals up top.
They say when I am in the sun,
I ruin there fun,
When in the sun, they are mean,
Saying that I ruin their perfect scene.
Wild Flower,
Dear Wild Flower,
But don't you see.
I am like you,
You are like me.
My stem is very bright,
Some say I ruin there sight,
Look at my petals when in the sun,
Look at the colors, there is more than one.
Instead of being with them,
Wild Flower,
Dear Wild Flower,
I ask you,
Will you be MY friend?
