Wilderness

I look around me -

A half-torn forest.

Where man and tree

appear to have met.

I sit and ponder,

waiting for a Thoreau-ian moment.

"I wished to live deliberately".

But nothing happens.

I look around me -

A half-torn forest.

And I think to myself,

"What a waste".
