Wildfire
A lit match and suddenly I was born,
I was nursed by the gentle winds, I grew, I consumed.
I took the deadened forest with me as I ran.
Well I ran from nothing at all.
In my wake I left nothing but destruction and ashes.
People saw nothing but evil but,
From my ashes raised new life.
I brought the needed destruction to bring forth hope.
As quickly as my warm life was born it was cut short.
My bright life extinguished and I died as soon as I was alive.
Leaving hope as I drifted into the darkness,
I am a wildfire.
