Will Be Heard

Location

My Voice will be heard.

Nothing will keep this person inside

Quite anymore

I'm tired of not being heard

Not being heard is like not existing

Tired of being left behind those

I am someone

I can walk out front but not behind

And I will be heard

People will know who I am!

Even if I got to use a loud speaker

You, him, her, them, everyone

Will know who I am

No more being quite

 No more walking in shadows

Of others

Am I going to stand up and be

Someone that I am

For good or bad

You will know

Know my name

You ask who this girl is

What the hell is she doing

What's her problem?

Well I'll tell you who

I am?

My name is Elkharia. My favorite color is green. My birthday is April 19. I lived a heard life of an average person. I am a proud African America women living right down your block. I refuse to live in your shadows anymore.

I will be heard.

AND YOU ALL WILL REMEMBER ME. WHETHER IT'S MY NAME OR WHAT HAS HAPPENED THIS VERY DAY OR FOR WHAT HAS BEEN SAID. YOU WILL KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT ME.

I will not be just a shadow to those around me.

But a voice

That's been heard

By those
