Will Fear Win?

I was fearful of man's rejection,

Millions of opinions

Afraid of their inspection.

What is my decision?

Will fear win?

I was fearful of the darkness,

Losing all control,

Lurking in the stillness

Mysteries untold.

Will fear win?

I was fearful of change,

So many unknowns.

My comfort zone rearranged

Unknown possiblites lying in the shadows.

Will fear win?

No, I will trust the message,

The message of truth.

What a blessing,

To be free from my fearful youth.

Fear is defeated.
