Will to Go On
In the country where natural disasters are common
People learned to live and accept
The damage and loss of property…
They feel it’s normal to have their streets
Full of standing water
They fish and swim and wait…
For dry land to appear once again…
Still, the Mother Nature tests their will to live
With earthquake,
Tsunami,
And typhoon…
Sending them one after another,
Leaving them no time to recover…
How strong these souls are
To manage through loss of lives and sorrow
To rebuild their homes and towns
To go on…
Looking at this far from the distance
It makes me wonder…
Could I be this strong?
Could I survive?
Could I go on?
Not many could but these souls would!
In the country where natural disasters are common
People learned to live and accept
The damage and loss of property…
They feel it’s normal to have their streets
Full of standing water
They fish and swim and wait…
For dry land to appear once again…
Still, the Mother Nature tests their will to live
With earthquake,
Tsunami,
And typhoon…
Sending them one after another,
Leaving them no time to recover…
How strong these souls are
To manage through loss of lives and sorrow
To rebuild their homes and towns
To go on…
Looking at this far from the distance
It makes me wonder…
Could I be this strong?
Could I survive?
Could I go on?
Not many could but these souls would!
